Kudos to those who manage to sustain a productive workflow on 10.7.x. Apple must be faulted for not providing security updates for OS versions older than the two, occasionally three, most recent ones. Running anything earlier than 10.9.5 on a Mac connected to the internet is a security risk and must be carefully monitored. ![]() (Which Mac? With the obsolescence of the Pro and the recent gelding of the Mini, that's a far more delicate question.) ![]() Certainly not any more a reason to postpone upgrading to El Capitan, if needed. However, those that are not ready by now were either crappy to begin with, or in need of a major update themselves. Not having all drivers and plug-ins ready at the roll-out of a major OS overhaul is a common occurrence, nothing to shout about. until 10.11.3, which is now mature and stable. ![]() Depending on which Mac generation works best with which latest OS X, I have currently 10.8.6, 10.9.5, 10.11.3 on my machines.
